    Secondary Business Studies

A Business Studies teacher will help young people understand the importance of education and its practical applications when they become adults. Business is interlinked with subjects right across the school curriculum; from using maths in practical economic terms, to using the sciences, technology and languages as valuable assets to building a successful career. Trainees in this subject will also have the opportunity to work with students and support colleagues, teaching Computing at KS3.

The course offers trainees opportunities to develop their professional competence, skills and understanding in this area. The philosophy of teaching the subject will be explored and be supported by working with young people during lessons and training days. It is inevitable that some aspects of the subject will require further development in skills and knowledge, but that will be addressed as part of the training plan throughout the year.
