Whilst ITE inspections are on hold, awaiting a new inspection framework, Ofsted have undertaken to visit over a hundred teacher training providers to explore and research provision in certain areas. Our visit had 3 foci:

1. How successful has EMTTP been in implementing ITAP within their ITE programmes?

2. How successful is EMTTP in ensuring that trainee teachers receive high-quality mentoring?

3. How well does EMTTP prepare trainees to teach pupils with SEND?

Three inspectors visited our provision. They took part in a number of activities, including school and trainee visits, trainee voice, meetings with partners and meetings with the EMTTP leadership.

Unlike a full inspection, there is no provider-specific report produced. Instead, the findings from all visits are brought together to produce a report of overall findings. 

We were, however, delighted to receive an indication that there were no areas of concern and many examples of impactful training. The lead HMI asked for this message to be passed on to all concerned.
